VeVe’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales 3D series contains three collectibles: Hoodie Season, Ultimate Spider-Man and Animated. They share the same hero but emphasize different ways to display him. This is the 2022 character series, not a Marvel Mighty or a digital comic, so its edition numbers and artwork should be checked against the correct VeVe listing.
Three views of Miles
Hoodie Season puts the teenage hero’s casual clothes over the suit: a gray hoodie, shorts and shoes make the figure immediately recognizable as Miles rather than a generic black-and-red Spider-Man. The official VeVe image shows that silhouette clearly. Ultimate Spider-Man focuses on the suited character, with the red web pattern standing out against dark fabric. Animated is the motion-led version in the series. VeVe lists all three as First Appearance collectibles in this release, while distinguishing them by rarity.
The official series page gives Hoodie Season 1,750 editions at Rare, Ultimate Spider-Man 1,000 at Ultra Rare and Animated 250 at Secret Rare. That adds to 3,000 original editions. As checked on September 24, 2026, VeVe reports 2,998 in circulation and two burned across the series. “First Appearance” is VeVe’s collectible label here; it does not mean the character was created in 2022 or that a figure is a printed first edition. The October 13, 2022 blind box was the initial sale format. Current market availability is a separate question for the live app.
There is a useful design choice behind the variants. In the hoodie look, Miles’s identity includes the everyday teenager: the outer clothing breaks up the costume silhouette and gives a shelf of superhero figures a different rhythm. The suited pose makes the emblem and body language the center of attention. If motion is the attraction, compare Animated in the official VeVe app rather than assuming that a still image shows its full behavior. Those are practical display differences, more relevant to enjoyment than a rarity word on its own.

Where Miles came from in print
Marvel identifies Ultimate Fallout (2011) #4 as Miles Morales’s first comic appearance. In that story’s context, the Ultimate Universe has lost its Peter Parker, and a new Brooklyn Spider-Man emerges. Ultimate Spider-Man (2011) #1 then opens his first ongoing series, written by Brian Michael Bendis with Sara Pichelli’s interior art. Those issues are a better narrative starting point than trying to read a complete origin from a collectible’s pose.
Miles’s place in Spider-Man history is more than a color change to Peter’s suit. VeVe describes a Brooklyn teenager balancing crime-fighting and his personal life while hiding his identity from his parents. The hoodie makes that tension visible: the person beneath the mask remains in view. These 3D figures are licensed interpretations of Miles, while the comics tell his story panel by panel.
Digital figure or physical comic?
If you want Miles’s earliest story on paper, Marvel released a facsimile of Ultimate Fallout #4 in 2021, reprinting the debut with its original ads. A physical comic gives you pages, sequencing and a tangible object. The VeVe series instead gives you a posed or animated 3D character in a digital collection. These are complementary, not interchangeable: the facsimile is a later reprint of the debut, while the VeVe item is a separate 2022 digital collectible.
For a first Miles VeVe pick, decide what you most want to see. Hoodie Season expresses the civilian-and-hero mix. Ultimate Spider-Man keeps the costume central. Animated is worth checking if movement is the draw. The numbers explain how VeVe organized the original release but do not tell you which appearance belongs in your collection. Compare each current listing, its displayed action and your available budget before buying.
A final naming check prevents an easy mistake. VeVe carries several Spider-Man lines, including Marvel Mightys and later Miles appearances. Search for the series title Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the variant name together. The two official photos here illustrate the suited and hoodie looks; the Animated version should be judged from its own listing and motion preview. That keeps this guide about the actual three-piece series rather than every Spider-Man NFT on the platform.
