Star Wars Ships on VeVe: Vader’s TIE, Luke’s X-wing and Shuttle

Compare three distinct Star Wars vehicle collectibles on VeVe: Vader’s TIE Advanced, Luke’s animated X-wing and the Lambda shuttle.

Three VeVe Star Wars ships tell very different parts of the original trilogy: Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced x1, Luke Skywalker’s X-wing and Vader’s Lambda-class shuttle. The first two are opposing starfighters; the third is an Imperial transport. The choice comes down to what you want to display: a Death Star duel, a Rebel fighter with moving parts, or the shuttle’s folding wings.

Vader’s TIE Advanced x1: an unmistakable silhouette

VeVe’s Series 1 collectible represents Vader’s personal TIE Advanced x1, not a standard Imperial TIE fighter. The official listing describes greater speed, a hyperdrive and deflector shields built to his specifications. Its dark central cockpit and angled panels make the silhouette instantly recognizable. Star Wars’ official Databank links this experimental fighter to Vader’s pursuit of Rebel pilots above the first Death Star. If you want a piece tied to that original space battle, this is the direct choice among the three.

The VeVe model is described as full-color 3D at 1:1 scale. That scale refers to its digital model, not a physical ship or a promise that a phone screen can display an actual full-size craft. Its original September 30, 2022 release allocated 11,888 Common editions. The Common label describes VeVe’s tier within its own series; it does not make the Vader ship interchangeable with other TIE variants. Compare the exact name and wing shape before buying, particularly because Series 1 also included the separate Scythe.

Luke’s X-wing: the Rebel counterpoint

Luke’s X-wing from Vehicles Series 2 is a different machine and a different kind of display. VeVe describes an animated 3D collectible with a functional cockpit door, wings and landing gear. The official Star Wars Databank explains the fighter’s balance of speed and firepower: four laser cannons, two proton torpedo launchers, a hyperdrive and an astromech copilot. Luke’s Death Star mission gives the ship a narrative link to Vader’s TIE, but the VeVe collectibles were released in different series and at different times.

There is a hands-on filmmaking history behind the TIE and X-wing shapes. In a StarWars.com interview, original-trilogy model maker Paul Huston describes building TIE and X-wing miniatures for A New Hope, including versions prepared for explosion shots. VeVe does not describe its digital releases as scans of those props. For a collector, the connection is the recognizable contrast between the compact Imperial fighter and Luke’s long-nosed Rebel ship.

The X-wing’s original August 13, 2023 drop listed 3,800 Rare editions. VeVe also mentioned possible future interaction with its R2-D2 collectible in VeVeVerse. That was a possibility in the announcement, while the cockpit door, wings and landing gear were described as features of this X-wing. The current app preview is the place to see how the model moves today.

Vader’s Lambda shuttle: an Imperial arrival

Vader’s Shuttle from Vehicles Series 4 trades a fighter’s compact outline for the striking three-wing Lambda-class shape. A fixed center wing rises above two moving side wings. Star Wars’ Databank describes the Imperial shuttle as a multipurpose transport, with its side wings extended in flight and folded for landing. That visual transformation is exactly why a shuttle belongs in a vehicle collection alongside starfighters: it suggests an arrival or departure scene rather than a dogfight.

VeVe identifies this as Vader’s personal Lambda-class T-4a and says the animated 3D collectible simulates lift-off and landing. The original September 15, 2023 release listed 3,500 Rare editions. Do not confuse it with the small fighter he flies at the Death Star, despite the shared character name. The three-wing body, white finish and transport role are different. Its animation is also a different promise from the X-wing’s movable cockpit, wings and landing gear.

Which one fits your collection?

Choose Vader’s TIE if the original trench-battle opposition and dark fighter design matter most. Choose Luke’s X-wing if you want the Rebel counterpart and the specified movable features. Choose the shuttle if the unfolding wing geometry and Imperial arrival image are the attraction. A pairing of Vader’s TIE and Luke’s X-wing makes a coherent rivalry display. Adding the shuttle broadens that display from combat ships to Imperial transport. The three images above show the actual distinct models, not near-identical color variants.
