VeVe Estate Planning: Records to Prepare for Your Collection

Prepare a clear record of your VeVe collection and understand the difference between account access and an estate transfer.

If someone needs to deal with your VeVe collection after your death, they should contact VeVe to establish the transfer procedure. Prepare a record of the account and your wishes now, so your representative knows where to begin.

What VeVe’s terms provide

Section 6 of the Terms for Gems allows account suspension after notification of death. It provides for transfers of Gems, Collectibles and other digital products to nominated beneficiaries or estate-authorised recipients, after evidence and identity checks and registration of a new recipient account. VeVe may withhold Collectibles or reduce the Gems balance to cover costs and liabilities arising from the death. If no eligible recipient is identified within 24 months of notification, the terms provide for transfer to the Reserve Beneficiary (Orbis Technology Limited) or reduction of the balance to zero.

The terms describe nomination through the app. We have not verified a current nomination screen, so ask support about the available procedure before relying on one.

Prepare your collection records

The German consumer centre’s digital-estate guidance recommends an up-to-date account list, a trusted representative and secure arrangements for access, including two-factor authentication. Its legal templates concern Germany; they are not a universal solution.

  • Record the VeVe username and registered email address, plus the location of relevant purchase records.
  • Keep a dated collection list with item names and edition numbers. Label any estimated values as estimates, not guaranteed sale proceeds.
  • Keep recovery information securely, separately from a shareable inventory. Tell your authorised representative where to find it.
  • Ask your adviser how your wishes, authority to act and local succession rules fit together.

Our suggested inventory is an organisational aid, not a VeVe claim form. Do not send passwords or authentication codes with an ordinary support enquiry.

If you are handling an existing account

Start with an enquiry identifying the account and your role. Ask VeVe which documents and submission method it requires for your circumstances; do not assume a fixed checklist or processing time. Our VeVe support guide explains the contact route.

Preserve the support reference and a copy of the response. Keep collection records, legal documents and access arrangements separate: knowing a password does not establish who is entitled to inherit.
